U.S. Stock ExchangesBATS BZX Exchange and BYX Exchange
BATS is currently the third-largest equities market operator in the U.S., handling approximately 12-13% of U.S. equities market share. The BATS BZX Exchange was launched in October 2008 after successfully operating as an electronic communication network (ECN) since 2006. The BATS BYX Exchange, BATS' second U.S. equities exchange, was launched in October 2010.

Pan-European Stock Market BATS Chi-X Europe
BATS serves the European market through BATS Chi-X Europe, which operates an FCA-authorized multilateral trading facility (MTF) for pan-European securities. In November 2011, BATS acquired Chi-X Europe. BATS Chi-X Europe currently accounts for approximately 25% of overall European equities trading, making it the largest pan-European securities market by value traded.
