Chris Concannon
President and Chief Executive Officer
Based in New York

Chris Concannon is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bats Global Markets, a leading operator of exchanges and provider of services for financial markets around the world. Mr. Concannon joined the company as President in December 2014 and immediately made an impact by playing a lead role in the acquisition of the Hotspot FX market. Appointed CEO on March 31, 2015, he has more than 20 years of experience as an exchange executive, trading participant and regulator.

A noted global market structure expert, Mr. Concannon previously spent six years at Nasdaq as executive vice president, transaction services. During his influential tenure from 2003 to 2009, he helped to transform the company. He was responsible for Nasdaq's U.S. equity and options markets and also led numerous acquisitions and integrations, including Brut, Inet and the Philadelphia and Boston Stock Exchanges. A chief liaison with customers and regulators, he also directed the launch of the Nasdaq Options Market.

Immediately prior to joining Bats, Mr. Concannon was president and chief operating officer of Virtu Financial, a global electronic market maker, from 2009 to 2014. He was instrumental in growing Virtu into one of the world's most influential market makers, providing liquidity on over 200 different exchanges and market centers in more than 30 countries in equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities.

Mr. Concannon served as a director on the Bats Exchange board from March 2012 to November 2014 and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corp.'s board from April 2010 to November 2014. Early in his career, he was a staff attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Market Regulation from 1994 to 1997 before joining the law firm of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius LLP. In 1999, he moved to Island ECN, one of the innovative firms that dramatically changed the U.S. market landscape, as special counsel and vice president of business development. From Island, he became president of Instinet Clearing Services before joining Nasdaq in 2003.

Mr. Concannon holds a bachelor's degree from Catholic University, an MBA from St. John's University and a JD from Catholic University's Columbus School of Law. He also holds Series 7 and 24 licenses.

Anthony Barchetto
Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Development
Based in New York

Tony Barchetto serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Bats Global Markets.

Previously, Mr. Barchetto was Head of Corporate Strategy at Direct Edge, where he oversaw strategic growth initiatives and business development for the firm. He also played an integral role in helping facilitate the merger of Direct Edge and Bats, creating one of the world's largest exchange operators in January 2014.

Prior to Direct Edge, he held a number of senior positions in product, sales, operations, and business development at block trading platform Liquidnet, most recently serving as Head of Corporate Strategy. Mr. Barchetto started in electronic trading at Citigroup's Lava Trading in sales and later as a product manager. Earlier in his career, Mr. Barchetto was a NASDAQ market maker with Knight Capital Group.

He is a CFA charter holder and holds a BS from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.

Mr. Barchetto holds Series 7, 63, 55, and 24 licenses.

Bryan Harkins
Executive Vice President, Head of U.S. Markets
Based in New York

Bryan Harkins is Executive Vice President, Head of U.S. Markets at Bats Global Markets. In his role, Mr. Harkins oversees sales, product development, new listings, and competitive strategy for Bats' equities and options exchanges. He also oversees the company's suite of market data and access services products.

Mr. Harkins was previously Chief Operating Officer of Direct Edge, which merged with Bats in January 2014. As one of the founding employees of Direct Edge, his industry knowledge and effective leadership skills were instrumental to the company growing into one of the largest players in the US equity market. He was responsible for operations, product development, sales, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the EDGX and EDGA exchanges.

Mr. Harkins is an accomplished executive who has received numerous accolades including selection to the 2014 Crain's New York Business 40 Under Forty and the 2013 NJBiz magazine Forty Under 40. He also received the 2013 Silver Best in Biz award for Best Executive and the 2013 Business Intelligence Group award for Executive of the Year.

During his more than 16 years in the electronic trading space, Mr. Harkins has held numerous technical, operational, product, and senior sales positions at Instinet, BRUT LLC, and NASDAQ. He holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Mr. Harkins holds Series 7, 24, 55, and 63 licenses.

Mark Hemsley
Chief Executive Officer, Bats Europe
Based in London

Mark Hemsley is Chief Executive Officer of Bats Europe, the largest pan-European equities exchange and the European arm of Bats Global Markets. Under his leadership, Bats Europe became a Recognised Investment Exchange (RIE) in May 2013, strengthening the company's European leadership position in market structure, technology, and innovation.

Bats Global Markets acquired Chi-X Europe in November 2011 and appointed Mr. Hemsley as CEO of the combined Bats Europe organization. In the span of five months, he and his team launched the first full interoperable clearing service offered by a trading venue and successfully integrated the Bats Europe and Chi-X Europe MTFs, capped by the seamless move of Chi-X Europe's trading books to Bats' technology platform.

During his tenure at Bats, Mr. Hemsley and his team have received numerous awards, including the Financial News Trading & Technology Awards Honor for Best Stock Exchange or MTF. Mr. Hemsley has been named to the "FN 100 Most Influential" list, which recognizes key financial executives impacting European financial markets, every year since 2009. He also contributes his market structure expertise as a member of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Secondary Markets Standing Committee providing consultation on the impact of market structure changes and ESMA policy development.

Before joining Bats, Mr. Hemsley was Managing Director and Chief Information Officer at LIFFE, running its Market Solutions group. At LIFFE from 2001-2004, he won major contracts with top exchanges and transformed the technology organization to capture greater revenue from its exchange businesses. A LIFFE board member, he was also heavily involved in the sale of LIFFE to Euronext, the predecessor company to NYSE Euronext.

Previously, Mr. Hemsley was a managing director of global technology - serving as Chief Operating Officer and a CIO - during his tenure at Deutsche Bank GCI, the investment bank. With that company, he managed teams of professionals in Frankfurt, London, New York, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo, while working closely with the firm's trading operations.

His previous positions included time as a Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was global head of foreign exchange technology, and a stint as CIO at Natwest Capital Markets.

Chris Isaacson
Executive Vice President,Global Chief Information Officer
Based in Kansas City

Chris Isaacson is Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer at Bats Global Markets. A founding employee of Bats in 2005, Mr. Isaacson is responsible for ensuring Bats remains an innovative, world-class leader in technology and his leadership has helped Bats grow quickly. He oversees all technology and market operations for the company, including technology strategy, software development and quality, as well as IT infrastructure and security.

In his various roles at Bats, Mr. Isaacson has overseen technology and operations, including the trade desk, and, as a developer, was instrumental in the architecture and implementation of the Bats trading platform. He speaks frequently on panels at key industry events. For several years in a row, Mr. Isaacson has been recognized by Institutional Investor in their annual "Trading Technology 40" ranking, most recently placing #6 on their 2015 list.

Mr. Isaacson began his career as a software engineer at Cerner Corp., the publicly traded, Kansas City-based healthcare information systems supplier. He was a software developer at Tradebot Systems from 2003 to 2005.

He holds a bachelor's degree in information systems with a minor in math from Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, Neb., and was a two-time Academic All-American while competing in the decathlon. He also earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where he currently serves on the Advisory Board at the Raikes School of Computer Science and Management.

Mr. Isaacson holds Series 4, 7, 24, 27, 55, 63, and 65 licenses.

Tami Schademann
Executive Vice President, Chief Regulatory Officer
Based in Kansas City

Tami Schademann is Executive Vice President at Bats Global Markets and Chief Regulatory Officer of the Bats Exchanges. Ms. Schademann joined Bats as a founding employee in 2005 and has led the regulatory and compliance department since that time.

Ms. Schademann played a central role in Bats' application with the National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA) to become a broker-dealer, as well as the firm's application with the SEC, leading up to the 2006 launch of Bats Trading as a U.S. trading platform. She also played a critical role during Bats' transition to a licensed U.S. securities exchange, which took place in 2008.

Ms. Schademann helped Bats expand its global footprint to become one of the world's leading exchange operators. In 2008, she temporarily relocated to London to direct compliance and regulatory affairs for Bats as the company entered the European equities market.

A member of the Intermarket Surveillance Group (ISG), Ms. Schademann represents Bats in this influential group that coordinates surveillance and investigations among FINRA and other U.S. and foreign exchanges trading in securities, options, futures, and foreign securities. She has represented Bats at ISG conferences in London, Germany, and Tokyo.

Ms. Schademann is also a Chairperson of the Ethics Commission of Wyandotte County, Kansas, which serves the citizens of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County by helping to ensure good government. In 2012, Ms. Schademann received the “Women Who Mean Business” award from the Kansas City Business Journal, which recognizes the region's top corporate executives and entrepreneurs. In 2010, Ms. Schademann was an Ingram's Magazine "Women Executives" honoree, an accolade given to Kansas City women who exemplify leadership within their organizations.

Prior to joining Bats, Ms. Schademann was Chief Compliance Officer for four years at Tradebot Systems. Previously, she was a manager at Security Investment Company of Kansas City as well as in the trust divisions of Firstar Bank, Commerce Bank, and Security Bank of Kansas City.

Ms. Schademann holds Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

Brian Schell
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer
Based in Kansas City

Brian Schell joined Bats as Chief Financial Officer in March 2011 and is also an Executive Vice President of the firm. Mr. Schell oversees all financial activities for the firm including accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, and deal analysis.

A 20-year veteran of the financial services industry, Mr. Schell spent 16 years at H&R Block Inc. where he held various senior leadership positions, concluding his tenure as senior vice president, operations, support, and development for the firm's Tax Services division. Mr. Schell also served separately as chief financial officer of the Tax Services and H&R Block Financial Advisors units, holding the former position for seven years.

During Mr. Schell's tenure at H&R Block, he led several merger and acquisition assignments, while directing financial operations and strategic planning initiatives that led to significant revenue growth and operational efficiencies. Most recently, Mr. Schell was chief financial officer at Pollen Inc., a Kansas City-based technology company working with large companies redeploying cash in their accounts payables.

Mr. Schell began his career as an analyst at JP Morgan & Co. in New York and also spent five years in Washington, D.C., at KPMG Peat Marwick and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, facilitating regulatory-assisted banking transactions.

Mr. Schell graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in business administration and an emphasis in finance. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from The George Washington University.

Mr. Schell holds a Series 27 license.

Eric Swanson
Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary
Based in New York

Eric Swanson joined Bats Global Markets as General Counsel in January 2008 and oversees all legal aspects at the company.

Mr. Swanson played an integral role in helping Bats transition to a registered U.S. equities exchange in 2008, followed by the expansion into U.S. equity options in 2010. He also serves as a liaison with U.S. regulators and industry officials on market structure issues.

He served at the Securities and Exchange Commission from 1996 to 2006, rising to the title of assistant director in the Office of Compliance, Inspections and Examinations' market oversight unit in Washington. His duties included supervising the Commission's inspection program responsible for regulatory oversight of trading on the securities exchanges and ECNs.

Prior to joining Bats, Mr. Swanson was most recently Chief Counsel and Vice President of regulatory strategy at Ameriprise Financial. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and earned his law degree at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minn.

Jerry Avenell
Co-Head of Sales, Bats Europe
Based in London

Jerry Avenell was appointed co-head of the Bats Europe sales division following Bats' acquisition of Chi-X Europe and directs client relationship management and development in the UK and Ireland.

Mr. Avenell joined Chi-X Europe in November 2007 and was business development manager for the UK and Ireland. He was responsible for a range of Chi-X Europe's key market participant relationships and was involved in new product development initiatives.

Prior to joining Chi-X Europe, Mr. Avenell spent over eight years at the London Stock Exchange where he was responsible for the market data division's account management. He was subsequently responsible for business development in the market services team and tasked with building the LSE's buy-side strategy.

Mr. Avenell started his career in software sales for the Press Association in 1994 and is a BA (Hons) graduate of the University of Manchester.

Bryan Christian
Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Sales
Based in New York

Bryan Christian is Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Sales at Bats Global Markets. Mr. Christian was previously Head of Sales for Direct Edge, which merged with Bats in January 2014.

At Direct Edge, Mr. Christian led the strategic development and implementation of innovative products and pricing that supported trading on the firm's dual equity exchange platforms, EDGA and EDGX, and adoption of the firm's expanding suite of connectivity and data services.

Prior to Direct Edge, Mr. Christian served as Managing Director of Sales at NASDAQ OMX and as global connectivity manager at Bloomberg Tradebook.  He began his career in London as a Business Analyst at Merrill Lynch International before joining software development firm Felspar Limited.  He earned a B.S. in Business Administration at Marist College.

Alex Dalley
Co-Head of Sales, Bats Europe
Based in London

Alex Dalley co-heads the Bats Europe sales division and is responsible for client relationship management and development in continental Europe. As one of the first employees to join Bats Europe in 2008, Mr. Dalley was responsible for building the MTF's trading participant community as head of sales.

Mr. Dalley was previously with the London Stock Exchange where he served as head of membership and exchange trading directing exchange trading sales, client management and member firm acquisition. He also led business development for the LSE buy-side/sell-side FIX hub and spoke service.

He is a former Surrey County golfer and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Plymouth.

Adam Eades
Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer, Bats Europe
Based in London

Adam Eades leads Bats Europe's legal, compliance, market supervision and risk departments, having joined Bats Europe as head of regulatory and legal affairs in November 2011. Mr. Eades is a member of the Board of Bats Trading Limited and brings with him 20 years of legal, regulatory and compliance experience in financial markets and exchange trading and clearing.

Immediately prior to joining Bats Europe, Mr. Eades was global general counsel at publicly traded Henderson Group plc, the international investment management firm, where he led legal, compliance and corporate secretariat functions in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and Australia.

Mr. Eades' experience includes 14 years at LIFFE and Euronext (later NYSE Euronext), where he held numerous leadership positions, including leading the European legal division for NYSE Euronext and serving as global head of legal affairs for NYSE Liffe responsible for all legal matters related to derivatives.

Prior to the acquisition of LIFFE by NYSE Euronext, Mr. Eades was general counsel and company secretary for LIFFE and served on its executive committee. He was appointed chairman of LIFFE Trustees Ltd., the corporate trustee of the LIFFE pension scheme, and board director of Euronext UK plc. He also directed market supervision and investigations during his tenure at LIFFE.

Mr Eades is a qualified Solicitor and a member of the Law Society. He graduated from Newcastle upon Tyne University with an honours degree in Politics and History and subsequently completed his legal qualification at Guildford College of Law.

Bill Goodbody, Jr.
Senior Vice President, Foreign Exchange
Based in New York

Bill Goodbody, Jr. oversees Hotspot, a leading institutional foreign exchange market, which Bats Global Markets purchased in March 2015. He has managed Hotspot since 2008 and is charged with leading Bats in the $5.3 trillion daily traded FX space as the exchange operator further diversifies its business offerings globally.

Prior to joining Hotspot, Mr. Goodbody spent more than 18 years with KCG Holdings Inc. and one of its predecessor companies, Knight Capital Markets. During his tenure with Knight he held numerous senior leadership roles, including Head of Market Structure & Exchange Strategy, Business Manager of the Broker-Dealer Client Group, and Co-Head of Client Services. Mr. Goodbody was also First Vice President at Jefferies & Co. from 2004 to 2006, serving as Director of Equities Sales & Trading Technology before returning to Knight.

A respected market structure expert, he was recently elected Secretary of the Foreign Exchange Professionals Association (FXPA), an organization which represents the interests of FX industry participants. Mr. Goodbody has also been a member of numerous financial services industry committees, including SIFMA's Equity Markets & Trading Committee and the Security Traders Association's Trading Issues Committee. He also previously served as a director on the boards of NSX Holdings, Inc., and the National Stock Exchange, Inc.

Mr. Goodbody received his B.A. in Government from Georgetown University.

Jill Griebenow
Chief Financial Officer, Bats Europe
Based in London

Jill Griebenow became chief financial officer of Bats Europe in February 2014. Ms. Griebenow is responsible for all financial control and human resource functions at Bats Europe, including financial planning and reporting.

Ms. Griebenow joined Bats Global Markets as a Financial Reporting Specialist in 2011. Most recently, she served as Assistant Controller at Bats Global Markets where she managed the daily operations of the company's U.S. accounting function.

Prior to joining Bats Global Markets, Ms. Griebenow was a Senior Manager at EY (formerly Ernst & Young) in Kansas City, Missouri, where she focused on audits of public companies within the asset management and financial services sectors. Ms. Griebenow has more than a decade of experience in the financial and public accounting industries.

Ms. Griebenow is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), graduating from the University of Northern Iowa cum laude in 2001.

David Howson
Chief Operating Officer, Bats Europe
Based in London

David Howson joined Bats Europe as Chief Operating Officer in June 2013. He brings more than 14 years of experience in European and North American financial markets technology to oversee Bats Europe's software engineering, infrastructure, and operational teams.

Most recently, Mr. Howson was Chief Technology Officer at Equiduct Systems Ltd., where he was one of the founders responsible for establishing Equiduct in 2006 as a pan-European Regulated Market. Mr. Howson spearheaded the design and implementation of the company's technology platform and market structure and was responsible for technology strategy, market structure, and post-trade services.

Prior to Equiduct, Mr. Howson was solutions architect and principal consultant at Reuters Consulting. His work included implementing and integrating a pan-European equities trading platform for NASDAQ Europe, as well as the architecture and implementation of the Super Montage Hybrid trading system for NASDAQ Deutschland. Later, as principal consultant to the NASDAQ Stock Market based in the U.S., he managed the redesign and deployment of several NASDAQ Market Site systems.

Mr. Howson graduated with honors in Mathematics and Computer Science from Newcastle University.

Laura Morrison
Senior Vice President,Global Head of Exchange-Traded Products
Based in New York

Laura Morrison is Senior Vice President and Global Head of Exchange-Traded Products at Bats Global Markets. In her role, Ms. Morrison oversees the company’s ETP listings business, developing strategy, working with issuers to list their products and overseeing market quality incentive programs. Bats is currently the largest U.S. market for the trading of exchange-traded funds (ETF).

An exchange industry veteran, Ms. Morrison joined Bats from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) where she spent 20 years in leadership roles. In her last eight years at NYSE, she served as Senior Vice President,Global Index and Exchange-Traded Products, leading the team which managed ETF listings and trading as well as the NYSE index business. Ms. Morrison played a leading role in bringing new and innovative ETF products to market while launching key market quality programs and growing NYSE’s ETF issuer base to record numbers.

Previously at NYSE, Ms. Morrison held senior-level positions as Managing Director, Member Firm Sales, and Managing Director, NYSE Global Listings Group.

Ms. Morrison began her career at Barnett Bank in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and also spent two years as a specialist on the NYSE floor at CMJ Partners L.P.

Ms. Morrison graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University.

Kapil Rathi
Vice President, Options Business Strategy
Based in New York

Kapil Rathi is Vice President, Options Business Strategy at Bats Global Markets. Mr. Rathi leads business and product development, as well as competitive strategy for Bats Options.

Mr. Rathi joined Bats from International Securities Exchange (ISE), where he spent 10 years and was previously Head of Product Management, leading a team of product managers in developing new product offerings. In particular, he was instrumental in helping develop the ISE technology platform, market data products and order routing strategies. Mr. Rathi is an expert in options market product offerings, including complex order books and auctions.

Previously, Mr. Rathi worked for SIAC as part of the New York Stock Exchange as well as AT&T and Aithent Inc.

Mr. Rathi holds an MBA in finance from the Fordham Graduate School of Business, New York. He is based in the Bats office in lower Manhattan.

Guy Simpkin
Head of Business Development, Bats Europe
Based in London

Guy Simpkin was appointed Bats Europe's head of business development in April 2012 and is responsible for developing new products and services that leverage Bats Europe's pan-European cash equity success.

Mr. Simpkin brings 27 years of industry experience to Bats Europe having joined the firm following Bats' acquisition of Chi-X Europe where he held a business development role focusing on a derivatives business strategy.

He started his City career as an index fund manager with Barclays Investment Management (now Blackrock) where he was one of the original team that introduced quantitative fund management to Europe. He joined LIFFE (now NYSE Liffe) as head of business and market development in 1994 before leaving to run equity and equity derivatives clearing at LCH.Clearnet.

Mr. Simpkin graduated with honors from Imperial College of Science and Technology with a degree in Mathematics.

Randy Williams
Senior Vice President, Investor Relations & Communications
Based in New York

Randy Williams is Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Communications at Bats Global Markets. He joined the firm in October 2006 and oversees all internal and external communications for the firm.

Mr. Williams' team is responsible for much of Bats' interaction with external audiences, including journalists and analysts, and their work has led to coverage from Bloomberg, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, CNBC, Dow Jones Newswires, Forbes, Reuters, The Economist, The Financial Times, Institutional Investor, Newsweek, and The Wall Street Journal, among others.

He began his career as a journalist at Dow Jones Newswires in New York and spent 10 years there. From 1998 to 2004, he was assistant managing editor in charge of the spot news operation, supervising a group of more than 50 journalists and statisticians. In 2001, in honor of his work for the newswire on Sept. 11, 2001, he received the Dow Jones Circle of Excellence Outstanding Service Award.

Prior to joining Bats, Mr. Williams was Vice President with the global public relations consulting firm Fleishman-Hilliard, focused on financial companies for its fourth-largest office in Kansas City. He was at Starkman & Associates, New York, as Senior Managing Director prior to moving to Kansas City in 2006.

A former offensive lineman at the University of Illinois and Lehigh University, Mr. Williams graduated from Lehigh with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in public relations.

He holds Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses.
